After lunch, transfer to Matera to the Belvedere of the ancient city and then to the hotel in the heart of the sassi

Dinner at a typical osteria, locally known as c'ddar, originally open only to men. There is an open chargrill for meats. Clients toast own bread for bruschetta and choose own meat to be grilled. Dinner based on char grilled meats and local vegetables.

In late moringing transfer to Torre Spagnola, recently restored medieval tower

In morning transfer to Orto di Lucania, agritursimo and producers of sundried tomatoes, artichokes, salsa and several other vegetables products. View production process, still all done by hand.

Demonstration of Gnocchi di Semolona using an unrefined local flour. Each client has own board and makes own gnocchi.

Simple lunch of gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce and local sott' olii produced on the premesis

After lunch transfer to Ferrandina to visit an antique olive farm. Clients get to see the antique production process of typical salted oven dried olives in the area and tasting of oil and dried olives.

Return to Matera, and free time

Transfer to Grottaglie to visit the local potters' laboratories, demonstration of antique throwing and decoration

In late morning transfer to Kalidria, new 5* Thalassotherapy beauty farm and resort for relaxing day by the heated sea water pool. Clients will be given bath robe and slippers on arrival.

Each client has individual massage under heated cascade of sea water, hydrochromotherapy bath, and aquatonic path, use of sauna and turkish bath and heated outdoor pool. Any extra treatments upon request.

Finger food for lunch

In afternoon, transfer to Masseria Cardillo, check in and 2 hour workshop with local cooks, giving secret peasant recipes like caramelized onion and raisin calzone, dinner on the terrace overlooking the Metapontino area with tasting of 20 different peasant dishes.

In the morning, transfer through the dolomiti lucani to Rionero in the Vulture area famous for mineral water. Transfer to mineral water bottling plant positioned on a lake in an extinct vulcano. Clients will see bottling process and do mineral water tasting.

Lunch at the renowned  Locanda del Palazzo in Barile

In the early afternoon tranfer to the Cantine del Notaio, meet with Gerardo Giura Trabocchetti, owner of prestigious wine farm to taste award winning la firma Aglianico del Vulture and other excellent red wines.

Transfer to hotel to Senise on the border with the Parco del Pollino nature reserve and arrival at hotel

Dinner in hotel based on dried peppers and lamb dishes with demonstration
