Our catering business grew out of the success of our acclaimed restaurants owned by executive chef, Evan Kleiman.  Evan is also the host of "Good Food"  on KCRW 89.9fm and is a nationally known author of several best-selling cookbooks.  Regular customers loved our food so much that they wanted to serve it at home.  Because we are in the restaurant business, we are accustomed to accommodating large groups with relatively short notice, and we have a built-in staff ready to handle any size event.  With these tools already in place, catering was a natural offshoot.

 

 
Angeli food is the kind of simple, rustic Italian fare that most of us would prefer to eat most of the time.  With simplicity comes adaptability, and the backbone for creating food that matches the size and formality of any occasion.  Angeli food is equally at home at a casual afternoon brunch for a few friends, at a boardroom lunch for 20 or at an evening wedding for 200.
 

The hundreds of events we have catered have taken many forms, from intimate sit down dinners to elaborate buffet parties to trendy cocktail parties for as many as 1,000 guests.  Our services range from a simple drop-off of plattered food to full service off-site catering.    A hybrid of our restaurant and catering services has been our restaurant delivery, which many customers find meets their needs for smaller, more casual occasions.  In addition, Angeli Caffe is available for rental. 
 


We look at every party as a unique event that should reflect the personality of the host.  Our capable staff will work with you to evaluate your needs, then translate them into customized food and service.  To give you a taste of our style, browse through the sample menus offered here to get an idea of the range of our repertoire.  Let us give you more than just a taste -- call us to discuss your next party. 
 

 
   
Other Services

In addition to providing the food for your event, Angeli Catering can organize all other aspects of your party, such as staff, rental ordering, special decorations, flowers, dance floors and  tents.  We will take care of all the legwork for you.

When kitchen and service staff are required for a smooth party, Angeli can arrange for professional, well-trained staff to be there.   

The hourly rate for chefs and catering managers is $25, with a five hour minimum.  The hourly rate for assistant chefs, bartenders and wait staff is $18, with a five hour minimum.    A minimum 18% gratuity is appreciated.

Angeli Catering can also order all of the serviceware and equipment  you may need for your party.  The rental company that we use will then contact you with an estimate for costs and discuss payment, delivery and pick up times.  You will be billed directly by the rental company.

We will be happy to assist you with any other specialty services you may need.

Welcome to Angeli Industry Services!

Over the years you may have heard of us - or even been a customer, yet are unaware of the industry food services we provide. Studio and production houses have been a mainstay of our business for nearly twenty years. We provide high quality food, prepared to order, that is full of flavor and vivid colors. We seem to be on the weekly list for many writers lunches.

Above all we are not afraid of last minute orders or production panic.

We feed writers and producers all over the city. We specialize in read throughs and any other gathering where the comfort of good food is needed. We will happily provide references upon request.

In addition to the above mentioned delivery and pick-up services we also have considerable experience catering photo, commercial, and small feature production shoots. We have a large repertoire of food available that goes beyond the Angeli Caffe Ital-Cal offerings and able staff to set and serve for you.
